Serie B Femminile 2025/26 | Moll: "Proud of the girls’ journey, a deserved survival"

Grisignano di Zocco – Post-match statements from Hellas Verona Women coach Joan Moll, released after Vicenza–Hellas Verona Women, matchday 25 of the Serie B Femminile 2025/26.

Coach, what is your analysis of the match? “It was a very hard-fought game, a tactical match, well prepared, where the emotional aspect was very important. We showed we are a serious team, a team that knew how to play and suffer together, doing a great collective job. The desire to achieve a positive result, with safety getting closer, slightly limited us in the style of play we are used to. I’m happy because even in these matches it is very important to stay on the pitch and compete, and the team did that well with great naturalness and unity. I am also aware of our idea of play, because when we were able to express our football, we reached the box and created good chances. I am satisfied with that. Above all, I am proud: this is a more than deserved survival and it should be dedicated to the whole Hellas Verona family".

This match also confirmed Hellas Verona Women’s safety: what does achieving this goal mean for you? “It is certainly a deserved survival, which came later than expected compared to the work done over these weeks. I have seen a huge improvement, with the players always giving their maximum in training, trying to overcome every obstacle. They never turned their back on reality; they faced difficulties and grew from them, learning to suffer and still manage to express our style of play throughout these matches. We competed at our best in every game and I am very happy and satisfied with their behaviour and attitude during these two months working with me. This is a more than deserved survival for the work of everyone, the club and all the people in this environment. We absolutely deserve it, as do the players, and so does the entire Hellas Verona family, for its history and what it represents. I want to underline this because when you become part of a club like this, you truly understand the greatness of the institution and the value of the work behind it. For this reason, a relegation for this team was simply unthinkable".
