From Genoa to strengthen Verona’s midfield: welcome, Marica!

Verona - Hellas Verona Women is pleased to announce the signing of Marica Licco, a midfielder who has signed a contract with the Gialloblù club until June 30th, 2026.

Born on March 4th, 2000 in Genoa, Licco began her football journey at the age of six with Granarolo, playing in boys’ teams during her early development years. After this first experience, she joined Amicizia Lagaccio, a women’s club where she made her First Team debut at just 14 years old.

In the 2018/19 season, she moved to Genoa Women, where she played her first seasons in Serie B Nazionale, remaining with the team until 2021. In the 2021/22 season, Licco took her career abroad, gaining valuable experience with Lugano in the Swiss top division, the AXA Women’s Super League.

After returning to Italy, she joined Tavagnacco for the 2022/23 season, and then moved to Arezzo, where she spent the last two seasons, establishing herself as a key figure in midfield.
