Al-Musrati is a new Gialloblù midfielder!

Verona – Hellas Verona FC announces that it has acquired – on loan with an option to buy –  the sporting performances of midfielder Moatasem Al-Musrati from Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü.

Born in Misurata, Libya, on April 6, 1996, Al-Musrati is a midfielder who came through the ranks of Al-Ittihad Tripoli, a club in his home country. In 2017, he was signed by Vitória de Guimarães, where he joined the B team. On August 5, 2019, he made his first-team debut as a starter in a 1-0 victory against Feirense in the Taça da Liga.

After a loan spell at Rio Ave in 2021, he signed with Braga in July of the same year, where he stayed for four seasons, winning a Portuguese Cup and a Portuguese League Cup. By the end of his time in Portugal, Al-Musrati had 114 appearances, 10 goals, and 8 assists in the top division, as well as over 30 matches played in the Conference League, Europa League, and Champions League.

In February 2024, he moved to Beşiktaş, where he made 38 appearances and scored 3 goals, adding a Turkish Cup and a Turkish Super Cup to his honors. In the second half of last season, he played for Monaco: he made 10 appearances in Ligue 1, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist.

From 2014 to 2023, he wore the Libyan national team jersey, winning the African Nations Championship in 2014 by defeating Ghana on penalties in the final.

Hellas Verona FC extends a warm welcome to Moatasem, wishing him a future full of personal and professional success in yellow-and-blue.
