HELLAS VERONA TAKE THE FIELD WITH SEVEN PUPPIES FROM THE 'RIFUGIO DEL CANE E DEL GATTO' SHELTER
SERIE A 2024/25 | HELLAS VERONA-MILAN
On the occasion of the Hellas Verona-Milan match on December 20, 2024, players from both teams took to the pitch accompanied by seven mixed-breed puppies from the Rifugio del Cane e del Gatto Shelter, managed by ENPA Verona.
The captains of Verona and Milan, along with five other players from the two teams, carried the puppies onto the field at the Bentegodi Stadium during the traditional pre-match ceremony. The aim of the initiative was to raise awareness about responsible pet adoption.
The shirts worn by the players during the match were also auctioned on MatchWornShirt, with all proceeds donated to the ENPA Verona association.
The seven puppies were first adopted by the Club, which made a tangible contribution to their stay at the Shelter until adoption. This support was made possible also thanks to a donation from Monge, a leading company in pet food production. Hellas Verona later gifted the adoptive families with official Club-branded items: a waste bag holder, a leash, and a yellow and blue food bowl.
All seven puppies – two males and five females – named Zeno, Mastino, Olimpia, Arena, Bra, Hellas, and Verona, have found their forever homes.
HELLAS VERONA STANDS WITH ENPA ONCE AGAIN
2025/26 SEASON
For the 2025/26 season as well, Hellas Verona has chosen to support ENPA Verona and the guests of the ‘Dog and Cat Shelter – Animal Welfare Centre’, managed by ENPA Verona and owned by the Municipality of Verona.
Men’s First Team players Domagoj Bradarić, Unai Núñez, and Amin Sarr, Hellas Verona Women players Nicole Croin and Giulia Mancuso, and Primavera players Francesco Tommasi and Kevin Stella visited the Dog and Cat Shelter. During the day, they met the four-legged guests and supported the volunteers in their daily activities, such as feeding the animals and cleaning the kennels.
The match Hellas Verona vs Atalanta, scheduled for 6 December 2025 at 8.45 PM at the Bentegodi Stadium, has been chosen by the Club to bring fans’ and the local community’s attention back to the importance of adopting dogs and cats.
The jerseys worn by the players during the match will feature a special patch and will be auctioned on MatchWornShirt, with all proceeds donated—through the Hellas Verona Foundation to the Dog and Cat Shelter.
