SPORTING EVENTS
2021/22 CHAMPIONSHIP
On May 17, 2022, Hellas Verona For Special won the Experimental Championship of the Veneto Region, defeating Ala Autismo Treviso at Bottagisio’s field and thus earning access to the National Finals, held on June 22 at the ‘Novarello Villaggio Azzurro’ Sports Center.
The final phase featured eleven teams, winners of the three levels (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) of the regional championships from Veneto, Piemonte–Liguria, Lombardia, Emilia-Romagna, and Sardinia, all ready to compete for the title of the 2021/2022 season.
Accompanied by Alessandro Pieropan, Hellas Verona For Special triumphed in the 3rd level competition, bringing home a well-deserved trophy and enjoying an unforgettable experience, shared with many other athletes and representatives from the sports and institutional world.
2024 REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Bottagisio Sports Center in Verona, the final stage of the second-level Regional Tournament took place, organized by the Paralympic and Experimental Football Division and valid for qualification to the 2024 Regional Final.
During the day, Hellas Verona For Special, accompanied by Alessandro Pieropan and Zaccaria Tommasi, faced the teams from Associazione Fuorigioco Odv and Asd Verso Odv, finishing in third place. It was an intense and exciting day, centered on inclusion, offering participants the opportunity to share moments of friendship and once again express their great passion for football.

TARDINI FOR SPECIAL 2024
On Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the ‘Tardini’ Stadium and the ‘Ferrari’ Park in Parma, the 3rd edition of Tardini For Special took place, an important tournament dedicated to teams made up of young people with disabilities, coming from all over Italy and abroad. The event involved 24 teams, creating an opportunity for significant sporting competition and sharing.
Hellas Verona For Special, accompanied by Alessandro Pieropan, participated with great determination and team spirit, playing five matches. The yellow-and-blue team finished in third place, a result achieved especially thanks to the victory in the final match against the Special Team Pavia. This success represented not only a sporting achievement but also a moment of great pride for the entire group.
The tournament had significance far beyond the sporting competition: it was an event dedicated to promoting fundamental values such as friendship and social inclusion. Thanks to events like this, the world of paralympic sports becomes increasingly accessible to a wide audience, raising awareness and engaging communities, families, and institutions in a path of collective growth.

Experiences at the Stadium
SERIE A 2022/23 | BOLOGNA-HELLAS VERONA
On the occasion of the match between Bologna and Verona on August 21, 2022, the HV4Special participants had the opportunity to get to know PMG Italia up close, a Benefit Company that established a partnership with Hellas Verona Foundation, escorting people with disabilities to the ‘Bentegodi’ Stadium for every home game of the yellow-and-blue team during the 2022/23 season.
For this initiative, made possible also thanks to the cooperation of Bologna FC, five players from Hellas Verona For Special traveled from Verona on a PMG minibus, branded for the occasion with the HV Foundation logo. Once in Bologna, they met with the fans of Bologna For Community and watched the match between the rossoblù and gialloblù teams together.
SERIE A 2023/24 | VERONA-EMPOLI
On the occasion of Verona-Empoli on January 13, 2024, Hellas Verona For Special experienced a day full of emotions.
Thanks to the collaboration between Hellas Verona and HV Foundation, the players of the paralympic team had the opportunity to take part in the Walkabout Experience, a unique event that allowed them to connect directly with the world and history of the yellow-and-blue team, narrated by the passionate voice of Doriano “Italia” Recchia, a long-time supporter and deep connoisseur of the club.
During the visit, the young players and their companions were able to access the most exclusive areas of the stadium, including the Verona locker room, the tunnel leading to the field, and the pitchside, from which they watched the pre-match warm-up.
When the team bus arrived, the players welcomed the Verona team in the tunnel, sharing smiles, words, and moments of close connection. The footballers stopped to sign autographs and take photos with enthusiasm and generosity.
SERIE A 2024/25 | CAGLIARI-HELLAS VERONA
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Lega Serie A and the Paralympic and Experimental Football Division of FIGC promoted the campaign ‘Football is for Everyone’. For the occasion, a delegation from Hellas Verona For Special traveled to Cagliari for the Cagliari-Hellas Verona match, part of the 14th round of Serie A Enilive.
Three players, along with two companions, traveled with the yellow-and-blue delegation to Sardinia, where they watched the game from the Distinti section of the Unipol Domus, alongside their counterparts from Casteddu4Special, Cagliari Calcio’s paralympic team.
Before kickoff, the athletes had the opportunity to enter the field, escorting the captains of both teams and the referee. One of the Hellas Verona For Special players, together with two athletes from Casteddu4Special, also took part in the exchange of special DCPS pennants, alongside the traditional club pennant exchange.
During halftime, the athletes made a lap of the field, greeting the Unipol Domus crowd and sending a strong message of inclusion, friendship, and unity beyond any sporting rivalry.
SERIE A 2024/25 | HELLAS VERONA-PARMA
On the occasion of the Hellas Verona-Parma match, part of the 30th round of Serie A Enilive 2024/25, the players of Hellas Verona For Special and Parma Special experienced a day full of inclusion and passion for football, becoming protagonists of a unique experience.
Ten athletes from each team, accompanied by their respective staff, took part in the Walk About Experience, an exclusive stadium tour guided by the voice of Doriano ‘Italia’ Recchia, a long-time Hellas supporter and deep connoisseur of the Verona football scene. During the tour, the players visited the most private areas of the stadium, from the Hellas Verona and Parma locker rooms to the tunnel leading to the pitch, where they then watched the pre-match warm-up from the sidelines.
Before kickoff, the Special players from both teams symbolically exchanged jerseys, a gesture of friendship and mutual respect highlighting the value of unity beyond differences.
The day concluded with watching the match from the stands, where the two delegations cheered for their respective teams, united by a common message: football truly for everyone.
