In Campo X Donare | The Second Edition of the Charity Tournament Organized by Hellas Verona Foundation and Save Moras / VIDEO

Verona – Yesterday, Sunday, May 31, the 'Olivieri' Stadium hosted the second edition of In Campo X Donare, a charity triangular tournament organized by Hellas Verona Foundation in collaboration with the Save Moras association.

The event was created with the aim of raising awareness, especially among young people aged 18 to 35, about the importance of bone marrow donation. A message made even more meaningful by the memory of Dimitris Moras, brother of former Hellas Verona defender Vangelis Moras, who passed away eleven years ago. Through the Save Moras association, Vangelis continues to promote this important cause.

The day began with the official presentation of the event - hosted and commentated by content creator Federico Marconi alongside Mirko Mastrocinque - during which Vangelis Moras spoke together with Verona Mayor Damiano Tommasi and Valerio Meneghello, coordinator of the referee training course for the Verona AIA section and Technical Collaborator for the FIGC Youth and School Sector.

Providing further insight into bone marrow donation and hematological research were Professor Mauro Krampera, Director of the Hematology Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant Center; Professor Cristina Tecchio and Professor Carlo Visco, members of the Hematology Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant Center of the Verona University Hospital; and Dr. Edoardo Tamellini, physician at the same Hematology Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant Center and specialist in acute leukemia.

Three teams competed on the pitch: the Moras Squad, made up of former Serie A players and eventual winners of the tournament; the Creators Squad, featuring some of the most popular football content creators of the moment; and the Women Squad, composed of players from Eva Milano and several footballers from Hellas Verona Women.

Also noteworthy was the presence of an all-female refereeing team from the Verona AIA section, as well as the catering service provided by Ape'n Down, which welcomed and assisted the guests of all three teams throughout the event.
