In Campo X Donare | The second edition of the charity tournament organized by Hellas Verona Foundation and Save Moras at the Olivieri Stadium

Verona – On Sunday, May 31 at 4 PM, the ‘Olivieri’ Stadium will host the second edition of the charity triangular tournament 'In Campo X Donare', promoted by Hellas Verona Foundation in collaboration with the Save Moras association. The event, with free admission upon registration on Eventbrite, aims to raise awareness - especially among young people aged 18 to 35 - about the importance of bone marrow donation.

Taking to the field will be three teams made up of former Serie A players and some of the most popular football content creators of the moment. Among the former players, coached by mister Mandorlini, will be Vangelis Moras, Juanito Gomez, Damiano Tommasi, Mimmo Maietta, and many others. Among the creators, Matteo Perrotti, Federico Marconi, JPata, Gilbert Nana, along with representatives from Eva Milano - the most renowned women’s social team - Hellas Verona Women, and many other guests will be involved.

Also present at the event will be doctors from the Complex Operating Unit of Hematology and the Bone Marrow Transplant Center of the University Hospital of Verona. Thanks to a dedicated information point, they will provide in-depth insights and answer questions from the public on the topic of bone marrow donation.

During the afternoon, there will also be a session dedicated to photos and autographs, giving fans the chance to meet the former players and creators involved in the event up close.

The initiative was preceded by a moment of direct engagement with local schools. On Thursday, April 9, Hellas Verona Foundation and Save Moras visited the Istituto Tecnico Statale Cangrande della Scala in Verona for the award ceremony of the winning class of the graphic design contest linked to the event. In particular, one third-year class and two fourth-year classes from the GEC (Graphics and Communication) program took part in the contest, creating promotional materials for the tournament. During the meeting, held in the school’s auditorium, Zaccaria Tommasi presented the award to the winning project on behalf of Hellas Verona Foundation.

Also present at the school were Vangelis Moras - former Hellas Verona FC defender and founder of Save Moras (in memory of his brother Dimitris, who passed away in 2015 due to leukemia) - and, via remote connection, Professor Edoardo Tamellini from the Complex Operating Unit of Hematology and the Bone Marrow Transplant Center of the University Hospital of Verona, who discussed the topic of bone marrow donation with the students.
