Hellas Verona For Special concludes the 2025/26 DCPS season in Coverciano

Verona - Last weekend, at the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano, the 2025/26 season came to an end for Hellas Verona For Special, which took part in the National Finals of the third-level Paralympic and Experimental Football Division (DCPS).

Qualification for the national stage had been secured last April at the Bottagisio Sports Center, venue of the regional DCPS finals. Team A finished the regular season in third place with 36 points, while Team B, made up of the younger players, ended the championship in eighth position.

Team A’s journey in the regional finals proved decisive: after a 2-2 draw against Lizzana in the semifinal, the Gialloblù claimed victory on penalties thanks to four decisive saves by goalkeeper Gabriele Bonafini. In the final against Union Trento, a 6-1 defeat followed, a result that nevertheless did not prevent Hellas Verona For Special from earning a place in Coverciano.

For the national finals, the Gialloblù side was placed in Group 1 of Level 3 alongside Sorrento Calcio Special, Calciando Insieme (Pontedera Special), Insuperabili Sicilia and Polisportiva Spezzina, the team that would later become national champions.

These were the results achieved by Hellas Verona For Special during the final stage:

Sorrento Calcio Special-Hellas Verona For Special 0-0
Hellas Verona For Special-Calciando Insieme 0-1
Hellas Verona For Special-Polisportiva Spezzina 0-3
Hellas Verona For Special-Insuperabili Sicilia 0-2

The DCPS National Finals involved 31 teams from all over Italy and nearly 600 athletes, once again confirming the event as one of great sporting, human and inclusive value.

For Hellas Verona For Special, an intense and meaningful season now comes to a close, experienced with enthusiasm, growth and team spirit, values that have always accompanied the Gialloblù project both on and off the pitch.
