Emil Hallfredsson is the new Hellas Verona Foundation Ambassador
Verona – Hellas Verona Foundation is pleased to announce that Emil Hallfredsson has joined the Foundation as its new official Ambassador. A key figure in the Gialloblù midfield for many years – with 196 appearances and 18 goals across six seasons, from 2010/11 to 2015/16 – and a symbol of determination and self-sacrifice, the former Iceland international is once again embracing the Hellas colours to personally support and promote the Club’s charitable initiatives across the local community.
During his years on the pitch, Hallfredsson showed what it meant to fight wholeheartedly for this shirt. Today, that same commitment moves beyond the field, with the aim of actively supporting families, young people and the most vulnerable members of the Verona community.
Emil Hallfredsson’s appointment as Ambassador reflects the desire to further strengthen the Hellas Verona Foundation team, which already includes two distinguished former Gialloblù players: Luca Toni and Giampaolo Pazzini. The aim is to give an increasingly strong and recognisable voice to the values of Hellas Verona Foundation. Like Toni and Pazzini, Emil will place his image and his deep bond with the city at the service of the Club’s charitable projects, supporting the Foundation at key moments throughout the season and during official events dedicated to solidarity.
These are the words of Emil Hallfredsson: "For me, becoming part of the Hellas Verona family again is never just another decision: it is something that comes from the heart. Verona is my second home, and the people of this city gave me so much during my years on the pitch. I felt the need to give back at least some of the warmth and affection I received. When the Hellas Verona Foundation team asked me to become an Ambassador, I did not hesitate for a moment. I know how seriously the Foundation approaches its projects in the local community and the strength these colours can generate when it comes to solidarity. My teammates may be different today, but my commitment remains the same as it always has been. It will be both a pleasure and a responsibility for me to help promote the Foundation’s activities, which provide tangible support to those who need it most. We will be a strong team off the pitch as well".
Hellas Verona Foundation is pleased to welcome Emil and looks forward to sharing this new journey with him, built around closeness to and support for the Verona community.
