BPV Foundation Supports Hellas Verona Summer Camps for 14 Young People Assisted by Caritas Verona
Verona – This year, the Hellas Verona Summer Camps are expanding into an important new social dimension. Thanks to a €5,000 donation from the BPV Foundation, partner of Hellas Verona FC’s School Project, fourteen boys and girls from economically disadvantaged families identified by Caritas Verona will have the opportunity to participate in the Summer Camps, with all registration costs fully covered.
The initiative is part of the ongoing collaboration between Hellas Verona Foundation and Caritas Verona during the current season, which also includes the 'Casa Insieme a Voi' project. This partnership further demonstrates their shared commitment to supporting the local community, helping vulnerable individuals, and promoting social inclusion through sport.
The project was presented by Don Matteo Malosto, Director of Caritas Verona, Andrea Marconi, President of the BPV Foundation, and Alessandro Pernigotto, Head of Hellas Verona’s Football School.
"Working together with Caritas means identifying young people who can be given the opportunity to enjoy these experiences without feeling disadvantaged compared to their peers who may have greater opportunities - explained Andrea Marconi -. This allows them to socialize, grow through sport and, at the same time, enables us to support families as they face the daily challenges of our times".
Don Matteo Malosto emphasized the tangible value of the initiative: "One of the most important things for the young people we support is ensuring they have the same opportunities for relationships, fun and personal growth as all of their peers. Being able to spend time with others in a setting like this can genuinely make a difference in their lives".
Alessandro Pernigotto added: "This is the first time in the history of the camps that an initiative of this kind has been launched. The values promoted by the Summer Camps are extremely important: friendship, the bonds created among young people who often do not know each other beforehand, and the shared experience throughout the camp weeks. In addition, we aim to provide a high-quality football experience through the coaches of Hellas Verona’s Youth Sector and Football School. We are extremely proud to welcome organizations that work closely with the local community and, above all, to offer these young people such an important opportunity".
