Ape'n Down

Ape’n Down – ‘Irriverenti Sociali’ is a social cooperative based in Verona, founded with the aim of promoting job inclusion for young people with Down syndrome by offering them a real professional environment where they can express themselves, grow, and develop new skills.

The initiative is built around the concept of work as a fundamental tool for autonomy and social inclusion. The young participants actively take part in public and private events, serving breakfasts, coffees, and aperitifs, engaging with clients and colleagues, learning to work in teams, manage time, handle money, and take on responsibilities. This hands-on experience becomes a true training ground for life, enhancing self-esteem, interpersonal skills, and awareness of their own potential.

The project has received widespread recognition and participation, leading Ape’n Down to take part in major events such as Vinitaly, Fieracavalli, and Motor Bike Expo. On each of these occasions, the young workers have shown professionalism and initiative, earning praise from both the public and event organizers. The success achieved has fueled the ambition to further expand activities, with the goal of creating a multi-service organization offering a variety of job opportunities tailored to each participant’s individual interests and abilities.
